This concentration provides students a broad background in the management of human resources as well as an awareness of the functional specialties within the field of human resource management. In addition to qualifying students for specific careers in human resources management and general management, this concentration also provides an excellent entry to a variety of professional positions which demand effective direction of people. No matter what field students enter after graduation, studying human resource management prepares students for a wide range of jobs and positions. Effective leadership of human resources requires an understanding of the strategy, law, and procedures, as well as an understanding of appropriate reactions to individual values, personality, experiences, perceptions, emotions, and attitudes. It also requires an understanding of the potential dilemmas likely to arise during policy formation and implementation and during times of organizational change.
As an applicant for admission, you are expected to graduate from an accredited high school with a college preparatory curriculum.
