The Pre-Occupational Therapy certificate fulfills prerequisite requirements for nearly all graduate programs in this discipline. This 18-unit program enables students to complete essential science, social science, and statistics courses needed for admission. Designed for aspiring occupational therapy students, the certificate prepares learners to apply for master's programs accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Participants in this certificate program either complete preparatory coursework before transferring to OT graduate programs or supplement their existing bachelor's degree with necessary prerequisites for application.
After finishing the program, students will be able to:
Recognize and describe fundamental human anatomy structures.
Understand biological, social, and developmental milestones throughout life.
Distinguish between normal and abnormal physiological measurements.
Gain proficiency in statistical analysis by studying and applying models to social and behavioral science data sets.
