This program equips students with the skills needed for professional photography careers, including roles as photographic assistants and digital image editors. Learners explore diverse photographic disciplines, from commercial and artistic work to documentary and event coverage. The curriculum fosters both technical proficiency and personal creative projects. Completion requires 26 units. Program Outcomes: Graduates will demonstrate the ability to: develop conceptually and technically refined photographic projects; master lighting techniques in various environments; apply digital photography methods and workflows effectively; and achieve career readiness through earning the Photography degree or certificate.

Qualification Requirements

Secondary or high school school students - submit proof of completion of secondary education by submitting your transcripts, a graduation certificate, or diploma. If you have not yet graduated from your secondary school, you may apply with in-progress transcripts and must submit final documents showing completion prior to enrollment at GCC.
College or university students - submit transcripts of all colleges/universities you have attended. Secondary or high school records are not required if you have completed at least one term of college or university.
