This program offers academic and practical training for those pursuing careers as professional dancers or choreographers in commercial dance or dance companies. Participants develop the expertise needed to transfer to a four-year institution or audition for dance industry positions. The curriculum requires completion of core courses plus electives totaling at least 25 units. Program Outcomes: Graduates will exhibit technical dance proficiency with proper body alignment and muscle control, while articulating terminology across multiple dance genres. The coursework prepares students for careers in both commercial and concert dance performance.
