The Associate in Arts in Journalism for Transfer Degree prepares students to transfer to four-year colleges, specifically meeting lower-division requirements for a Journalism bachelor's degree at California State University campuses.

To earn the Journalism AA-T degree, students must: complete 60 transferable semester units with a minimum 2.0 GPA, fulfill major requirements, and complete either the CSU General Education (40 units) or IGETC (37-39 units) requirements.

Qualification Requirements

Secondary or high school school students - submit proof of completion of secondary education by submitting your transcripts, a graduation certificate, or diploma. If you have not yet graduated from your secondary school, you may apply with in-progress transcripts and must submit final documents showing completion prior to enrollment at GCC.
College or university students - submit transcripts of all colleges/universities you have attended. Secondary or high school records are not required if you have completed at least one term of college or university.
