This program equips students to identify and apply the techniques mass media uses to inform and influence through words and visuals, while understanding their psychological effects on viewers. Graduates will be ready to pursue bachelor's degrees in mass communications, public relations, and related fields. The curriculum requires completion of core courses plus electives totaling 19.5 units. Program Outcomes: Students will gain the ability to assess mass media's role in shaping culture, politics, and social structures, while examining how communication technologies have historically transformed society and human interactions.
