As a communications studies student, you'll develop expertise across these diverse scenarios. You can choose to concentrate your education in one of five specialized tracks while building skills in debate, influence, investigation, and narrative techniques - essential tools for communication-focused careers. The CMS Undergraduate Program offers comprehensive knowledge and hands-on training in students' selected fields.
Earning a Bachelor of Communication Studies equips graduates to serve as skilled communicators across multiple settings. The program features five distinct career-oriented specializations: corporate communication, human relations communication, political communication, strategic and risk communication, and global and intercultural communication. Through elective coursework, students can complement their major with a tailored minor.
This Communication Studies degree provides exceptional flexibility, opening doors to numerous career paths including corporate and marketing communications, sales, HR and employee relations, healthcare consulting, conflict resolution, counseling, advocacy work, political campaign coordination, lobbying, speech composition, community outreach, diplomacy, risk assessment, digital media planning, event coordination, and beyond.
If you are an international applicant, you must have completed an accredited secondary school series equivalent to that of a U.S. high school.
Minimum scores acceptable for admission are:
TOEFL: 79 (internet-based test)
IELTS: An overall band of 6.5 on the Academic Examination
