The department provides a combined Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts program in Sociology or Gerontology. This accelerated pathway allows eligible undergraduates to take graduate-level courses during their senior year and count them toward both degrees.
To participate, students need formal approval from both the department and the College of Arts and Sciences. Being accepted into the dual program doesn't guarantee admission to the master's degree - students must still meet standard graduate admission criteria and complete the standard application process for the master's program.
