Georgia State University's Political Science Department provides a combined B.A./M.A. program designed to help students complete both degrees in just five years while reducing tuition costs. Eligible undergraduates can take graduate-level courses that count toward both their bachelor's and master's requirements during their final undergraduate years.
Political science examines the allocation of resources and values within societies and groups, analyzing who receives benefits, when, and through what processes. Scholars in this field investigate various influencing factors, including electoral systems, civic engagement, advocacy organizations, government agencies, legal frameworks, global affairs, security studies, federal-state relations, individual political actions, philosophical foundations, cross-national comparisons, policy development, and dispute resolution.
