The Psychology Ph.D. program's Cognition and Brain Science concentration educates students in comprehensively grasping multiple facets of cognition and the neural processes underlying mental functions. The curriculum covers theoretical frameworks of cognitive processes along with their biological foundations in brain activity and behavior. Learners explore principal techniques for assessing different cognitive and neuroscientific elements, such as attention, sensory perception, short-term memory, long-term memory, executive function, linguistic processing, self-awareness, spatial reasoning, and decision-making.

Qualification Requirements

Admission to graduate study in psychology, with full graduate standing in the School of Psychology, requires foremost a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in psychology or a related field (e.g., computer science, biology, linguistics, mathematics).

We require undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) transcripts, three letters of recommendation from persons most familiar with the applicant's academic competence, a statement of interests and goals and all other materials required on the Georgia Tech graduate admissions portal.

IELTS - 7 (minimum band score for Reading, Listening, and Speaking is 6.5, minimum band score for Writing is 5.5), TOEFL iBT - 90 (each section must score 19 or higher), TOEFL PBT - 577.
