The M.S. in Tumor Biology is a one-year graduate program accepting students each fall. This curriculum covers fundamental cancer biology principles, encompassing biochemistry, pharmacology, prevention strategies, and specialized cancer research methods. Participants will gain hands-on experience with essential lab procedures and must finish a research thesis. Program alumni will possess thorough knowledge about cancer development processes and current therapeutic obstacles. The degree offers two specialization paths: the Standard Tumor Biology Track and the Cancer Systems Biology Track.
The program teaches core cancer biology concepts through coursework in biochemistry, pharmacology, prevention approaches, and cancer-specific research methodologies. Students acquire practical laboratory skills and undertake a capstone research initiative. Upon completion, graduates will demonstrate in-depth comprehension of tumor progression mechanisms and contemporary treatment difficulties in oncology.
