The Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at the Trachtenberg School equips students to thoroughly analyze data and examine the foundational theories influencing public policy that governs societies globally.
Beyond required courses, MPP and MPA candidates select a specialized study area aligned with their professional goals, choosing from predefined options or crafting a custom path with faculty guidance. Every TSPPPA graduate student undertakes a capstone project for a client they select.
This 9-credit concentration examines government decision-making processes, emphasizing skills to assess policy impacts and program effectiveness. Ideal for aspiring policy analysts in government agencies, nonprofit sectors, or research institutions, the curriculum builds advanced quantitative and qualitative research capabilities across disciplines. Certain listed courses may fulfill core requirements in MPP/MPA programs; these can only count toward the specialization if not used for core credits. With advisor approval, students may incorporate relevant courses from related fields to enhance their study focus.
