The Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at the Trachtenberg School equips students to thoroughly analyze data and examine the foundational theories influencing public policies that govern societies worldwide.

Beyond required courses, MPP and MPA candidates select a specialized study area aligned with their professional goals, either from established options or through advisor-guided customization. Every TSPPPA graduate student undertakes a capstone project with a client they select.
This concentration's curriculum examines both theoretical frameworks and practical applications in homeland security, covering preparedness and crisis management for artificial and natural catastrophes. Students gain expertise in developing and executing security policies across federal, state, and municipal governments. The program addresses critical human factors like leadership in intricate systems, along with legal, technical, and institutional obstacles in disaster prevention and management. With advisor approval, participants may incorporate additional pertinent courses from related fields.
