The Trachtenberg School's Master of Public Administration (MPA) equips graduates to effectively lead and oversee public service organizations across all sectors.

This degree program allows students to examine management and policy challenges through intergovernmental and cross-sectoral perspectives. The curriculum emphasizes cultivating essential thinking abilities, robust analytical techniques, and an awareness of the ethical considerations fundamental to public administration. Each TSPPPA master's candidate additionally undertakes a pro bono capstone initiative for their selected client organization.
MPA graduates pursue careers across government agencies at every level, national associations, advocacy organizations, research institutions, consulting firms, and private sector entities.
Social policy encompasses diverse issues affecting individual and societal welfare, particularly focusing on poverty and income disparity. Given this field's extensive scope, students should collaborate with advisors to select suitable courses from Trachtenberg School offerings and other university departments. Beyond the listed classes, social policy students might explore relevant coursework in education, healthcare, urban policy, or doctoral-level studies in race/ethnicity and gender policy.
