Students receive education to prepare for careers as public health researchers specializing in health behavior. The program begins by building foundational skills in public health and health behavior, leading to an MSPH degree. Subsequently, students fulfill all PhD in Health Behavior requirements.
The Gillings School's Health Behavior Department offers Master of Public Health concentrations in global health and health behavior, along with a dual master's program and doctoral studies. Our graduates gain expertise to become advocates for community health improvement, addressing challenges like violence, obesity, cancer, HIV, health policy, and health inequities that affect populations worldwide.
