The ASTL Concentrations cater to working teachers and education professionals seeking to advance their careers. This program consists of two key elements: a 12-credit Education Core centered on reflective practice, instructional theory, teaching methods, cultural awareness, and school transformation, along with 18-21 specialization credits known as the Concentration.

This specialization offers in-depth training for educators on the principles, components, and evaluation methods of the IB's Primary Years (PYP), Middle Years (MYP), and Diploma (DP) Programs. The curriculum emphasizes the foundational theories, teaching approaches, and scholarly research supporting International Baccalaureate initiatives. Completing both the ASTL IB Concentration courses and the ASTL Core curriculum leads to earning the International Baccalaureate Advanced Award in Teaching and Learning Research.
