Fordham's TESOL program has earned National Recognition from both the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and TESOL International Association. Students in the TESOL program develop skills in recognizing and applying ESL teaching methods, creating and assessing curricula, and understanding educational materials tailored for emerging bilingual learners (EB).
The curriculum focuses on evidence-based teaching approaches that enhance cognitive growth and language skills in English as a second language across all communication areas: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Graduates are equipped to educate children and teenagers from various linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

This program exclusively serves those pursuing K-12 teaching careers and meeting certification requirements for K-12 education.
