The Advanced-Level Pharmacy Technician Certificate of Achievement (ASHP/ACPE Accredited) is a nine-month structured program accredited by the Pharmacy Technician Accreditation Commission, with admissions exclusively in the Fall Quarter. This curriculum trains students for pharmacy technician roles across diverse healthcare environments including hospitals, long-term care facilities, retail pharmacies, home healthcare services, and government institutions. Upon completion, graduates receive a Certificate of Achievement and become eligible to register with the California State Board of Pharmacy - a mandatory credential for practicing as a Pharmacy Technician.
Students may alternatively pursue a two-year Associate in Science degree for Pharmacy Technicians, incorporating general education requirements. This extended program provides transfer opportunities to four-year institutions while enhancing career prospects with deeper theoretical knowledge. General education courses can be completed either before or after obtaining the Advanced-Level Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
