The Photography department aims to deliver exceptional training in photographic methods for students pursuing vocational paths, general education, or transfer programs. A photography degree equips learners with solid artistic fundamentals and diverse practical skills essential for university transfer, professional photography careers, or creative pursuits. The curriculum covers digital photography, color techniques, studio lighting, experimental methods, photo analysis, and portfolio development. We inspire students to cultivate unique artistic voices, master technical skills, and explore photography's societal impact.
Graduates will create photographs showcasing expertise in visual and expressive components (lighting, color theory, and framing), utilizing industry-standard gear and workflows.
Students will evaluate how photographs influence and mirror cultural values while recognizing contributions from diverse communities within the photographic field.
