Studio art students investigate and produce works through the vocabulary of two- and three-dimensional forms, spatial relationships, and temporal elements across diverse mediums and technologies. These include ceramics, digital arts, intermedia, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Undergraduate students can choose between two studio art degree paths. The bachelor of arts in studio art offers a broad liberal arts foundation, while the bachelor of fine arts provides professional preparation for aspiring artists, designers, or those pursuing advanced studies in these disciplines.
Photography students develop projects employing diverse creative approaches within the medium. They master techniques spanning from conventional darkroom processes to contemporary digital methods, merging technical proficiency with artistic vision to produce distinctive conceptual works. The program emphasizes nurturing each student's individual creative identity, aiming to cultivate fresh perspectives and help students develop photographic works that reflect their personal artistic voice.
