Qualification Requirements
A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution, with a minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average (GPA) in all coursework attempted while enrolled as an upper-division undergraduate student working towards a bachelor's degree
Official GRE general test scores.
Effective Fall 2023, GRE is no longer required for PhD admissions in Department of Mathematics.
Currently, Florida State University has waived the GRE requirement for most MS programs, including the MS programs in Department of Mathematics.
Official transcripts from each college and/or university you have attended.
Note: International applicants or degrees earned from international institutions must submit their official transcripts through the SpanTran pathway portal, or from another NACES approved evaluator. A statement of purpose.
Three letters of recommendation. On the University application form, you will enter the names and email addresses of at least three people who have agreed to write a letter of recommendation for you.
