The department provides Master of Science (MS), Master of Engineering (MEng), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs with specializations in structural, geotechnical, transportation, construction, water resources, and environmental engineering. Key focus areas in civil engineering encompass bridge design and management systems, cement-based materials, construction project oversight, wind engineering, geo-environmental studies and pavement systems, transportation networks with multimodal approaches, disaster preparedness, computer-assisted design and decision-making tools, along with combining physical and computational models of infrastructure systems. For water resources, the program highlights hydraulics, hydrology, fluid dynamics, subsurface water systems, and simulations of river basins and coastal regions. Environmental engineering concentrations cover water purification, potable water and sewage processing, contamination cleanup, hazardous material handling, environmental systems evaluation, and sustainable ecological practices.
