The department provides Master of Science (MS), Master of Engineering (MEng), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs with specializations in structural, geotechnical, transportation, construction, water resources, and environmental engineering. Key focus areas in civil engineering encompass bridge design and management systems, cement-based materials, construction project oversight, wind engineering, geo-environmental studies and pavement systems, transportation infrastructure and multimodal networks, disaster preparedness, computer-assisted design and decision-making tools, along with combining physical and computational models of civil infrastructure. For water resources, the program emphasizes fluid mechanics, water cycle studies, groundwater dynamics, and modeling of river basins and coastal regions. Environmental engineering concentrations cover water purification, sewage treatment, contamination cleanup, hazardous material handling, environmental systems evaluation, and sustainable practices.
