The Florida State University/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training, based in Sarasota, Florida, offers a three-year graduate program leading to a Master of Fine Arts degree from Florida State University's School of Theatre. All MFA candidates at the Florida State University/Asolo Conservatory benefit from full tuition coverage through Florida State University, along with living expense assistance via donor-supported Asolo Scholarships. Second-year students participate in a London study program jointly funded by the Asolo Repertory Theatre and Florida State University. Graduates achieve Equity eligibility through their work with Asolo Repertory Theatre, serving as understudies during their first year and becoming associate company members by their third year.

Qualification Requirements

A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution, with a minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average (GPA) in all coursework attempted while enrolled as an upper-division undergraduate student working towards a bachelor's degree.
Prior to beginning the application process, all prospective students must audition for the program. After receiving and accepting an offer from the FSU/Asolo Conservatory, you will receive a Conservatory application and instructions for the FSU admissions process. Do not begin a formal application before receiving an offer from the Director of the Conservatory.

To be eligible for admission and an assistantship, a student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 in the last two years of college work or an acceptable score on the combined verbal and quantitative portions of the Graduate Record Examination taken within the last 5 years.
Internet based TOEFL (IBTOEFL): 80, Paper based TOEFL (TOEFL): 550, International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 6.5.
