The Master of Arts in Arts Administration equips students for diverse careers in cultural institutions. Beyond traditional classroom discussions, our dedicated faculty incorporate immersive learning experiences to help students master essential practices for supporting cultural organizations and a vibrant arts sector. Arts Administration explores the intersection of nonprofit management and cultural institutions of all sizes. As Florida's pioneering program in this field, Florida State University's Art Education Department has been granting Arts Administration degrees since 1984. Alongside the MA, we provide doctoral options including a Ph.D. and Ed.D in Art Education with an Arts Administration focus. Committed to our educational mission, we prepare future arts leaders with both the practical skills and ethical foundations of arts management. This program, offered through the College of Fine Arts' Art Education Department, welcomes applicants with undergraduate degrees in Art, Arts Education, Arts Administration, or Performing Arts. A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution, with a minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average (GPA) in all coursework attempted while registered as an upper-division undergraduate student working towards a bachelor's degree; or
