It also provides foundational preparation for doctoral studies in communication, potentially leading to academic or research careers.
Learning Outcomes. The master's curriculum combines hands-on digital media production training with theoretical frameworks and research methodologies. Students will develop competencies to: 1) design and produce impactful digital media/video content, 2) leverage social media platforms for distribution, 3) interpret audience engagement metrics, and 4) apply communication theories to media development and assessment.
Acquired Expertise. Upon completing the program, graduates will demonstrate proficiency in: producing digital video content, assessing media campaign effectiveness, implementing communication theories in campaign strategies, and customizing messages for target audiences while incorporating feedback.
Degree Requirements. The program mandates completion of at least 36 semester hours. Students lacking adequate undergraduate preparation may need to complete additional foundational courses as determined by their advisory committee, which won't contribute toward the 36-hour requirement.
