It also provides foundational preparation for pursuing a Ph.D. in communication, potentially leading to academic or research careers.

Learning Objectives. The master's curriculum equips students with hands-on digital media production techniques alongside theoretical knowledge and research methodologies. Students will develop competencies to: 1) design and produce impactful digital media/video content, 2) leverage social media platforms for distribution, 3) interpret data to assess message effectiveness, and 4) apply communication theories to media development and assessment.

Acquired Expertise. Upon completing the program, graduates will demonstrate proficiency in: producing digital video content, analyzing media campaign effectiveness, implementing communication theories in campaign development, and customizing media messages for target audiences while incorporating feedback.

Program Requirements. The degree requires completion of at least 36 semester credits. Students lacking adequate undergraduate preparation may need to complete additional foundational courses as determined by their advisory committee, though these won't count toward the 36-credit requirement.
