The Master of Arts in Classical Civilizations provides learners with the adaptability to craft a customized curriculum aligned with their educational background, scholarly pursuits, and career aspirations. While this graduate program can lay the foundation for doctoral studies in Classics, participants should carefully select courses that meet the prerequisites of their desired Ph.D. programs.
Students complete the Classical Civilizations M.A. through a structured course sequence culminating in a master's thesis (33 credit hours).
A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution, with a minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average (GPA) in all coursework attempted while registered as an upper-division undergraduate student working towards a bachelor's degree; or
A graduate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution;
