The program boasts an active chamber music initiative led by FIU's Ensemble-in-Residence, the acclaimed Amernet String Quartet, offering students numerous performance venues both on campus and beyond. Organized auditions are held three times per year, but can be scheduled at other times throughout the year upon request. Applicants who wish to be considered for University merit-based scholarships should attend the November audition date. Theory and history placement tests will be given during organized audition days.
Official TOEFL (minimum score 550 paper-based, or 213 computer-based, or 80 internet-based) or IELTS (minimum 6.5).
