Our programs offer the adaptability students require, enabling them to select from conventional or entirely online courses while participating in diverse research opportunities, available both in crucial South Florida locations and globally. The Geosciences Department provides undergraduate degree options for a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.), specializing in Geography or Geology. Additionally, students can pursue Certificate Programs in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), with minor options in Geography, Geology, or Geographic Information Science. Detailed degree pathways and prerequisites are outlined below. A minimum grade of C is mandatory for all department courses counting toward degree completion. The University's foreign language requirement for B.A. and B.S. degrees must also be fulfilled.
