Several departments within the College of Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities contribute to the interdisciplinary Master of Applied Social Science (M.A.S.S.) degree, including History, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, and Global Security and International Affairs.
This applied program stands out for its adaptability. After completing a foundational set of three Interdisciplinary Social Science (ISS) courses (9 credit hours), students can collaborate with an advisor to tailor the remaining curriculum to their specific interests. The M.A.S.S. serves both individuals planning advanced social science studies and those seeking immediate employment after graduation.
Full-time students typically complete the 33-credit program over two semesters and one summer. Certain applicants might need to fulfill prerequisite courses before starting the program.
