The Early Childhood (P3) Specialist program equips certified teachers with the P-3 endorsement through cutting-edge research and teaching methods in early childhood education.
This 36-credit Master of Arts program also provides coursework for a supervisor's certification. Upon completion, graduates will hold dual credentials (P-3 endorsement and supervisor's license) while enhancing their expertise and career prospects. New Jersey's supervisor license mandates a master's degree plus three years of teaching experience. Applicants must submit a valid teaching certificate or passing Praxis II exam scores.
Credits from elementary certification programs may apply toward P-3 certification, but cannot count toward the MACT degree if used for a completed MA. The program director and School of Education certification officer will evaluate all transcripts.
