Film directing students delve into every facet a director needs to master for effective storytelling. In addition to analyzing and visualizing film projects, directing students explore actor collaboration, pre-production workflows, the art of visual storytelling, and understanding their work's cultural and societal context. The Film Major provides comprehensive training in all elements of crafting visual narratives for cinema, digital media, or television. From their first year, students work with HD cameras while studying film history and analysis. The curriculum progresses through screenwriting, advanced production, and post-production classes, then offers specialized electives to pursue individual passions. Opportunities for internships and independent projects further enhance the learning experience.
