Undoubtedly, you're passionate about watching movies and TV shows. As a student of film, television, and interactive media, you'll also develop deep expertise in their creation and their role within broader historical and cultural frameworks.
Our program is fundamentally cross-disciplinary, featuring faculty from humanities, social sciences, creative arts, and computer science who bring varied viewpoints to understanding visual storytelling. Through this multi-departmental, culturally diverse approach, you'll learn to examine cinematic techniques, historical developments, and production processes.
You'll explore film both as a narrative medium and as an artistic expression with its own unique vocabulary and traditions. You'll experience hands-on creative production elements like scriptwriting, post-production, digital interactivity, CGI animation, audio engineering, and digital cinematography. You'll achieve proficiency in both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of film and related media—and their connections to the societies that produce them.
