Emory University's Neuroscience graduate program is a cross-disciplinary initiative that fosters collaboration across multiple departments while maintaining high academic standards. Faculty and students explore diverse neuroscience research areas, from molecular mechanisms to behavioral studies. This program is part of the Emory Graduate Division of Biological and Biomedical Sciences (GDBBS), which includes nine Ph.D. programs. With over 260 faculty members, students enjoy unrestricted access to all Division resources—they can rotate through labs, conduct research with any faculty member, switch programs, or take courses across the Division. This flexible structure allows students to tailor their academic path, selecting courses, mentors, and research projects that align with their goals. The program typically has 80-100 students enrolled annually, with most completing their degrees in approximately six years. Graduates pursue rewarding careers in various fields including academia, industry, government, and law.
