This online certificate program covers technology, policy, and emerging advancements in autonomous systems across air, sea, land, and space, enabling students to earn 18 undergraduate credits. Uncrewed systems are transforming business, defense, and transportation sectors. Designed to address the demand for skilled professionals, this certificate provides expertise in uncrewed technologies, their limitations and potential, and the regulatory framework governing the industry. Students will explore the rapidly evolving field of uncrewed systems, including applications in aerial, maritime, terrestrial, and space settings. Beyond learning about uncrewed technologies and their practical uses, students will become acquainted with task-focused scenarios and the ethical and regulatory aspects of operating uncrewed systems. Embry‑Riddle’s Uncrewed Systems Technology undergraduate certificate is customized for new students and working professionals seeking careers in the uncrewed systems field or industries impacted by technological progress, such as aviation, transportation, retail, remote sensing, emergency services, and defense.
All international students must provide a copy of their valid passport for immigration purposes.
All International undergraduate applicants who have any educational experience outside the United States may be required to provide an official evaluation in English including the cumulative grade-point average. High school students are required to have a document-by-document evaluation.
SAT and/or ACT standardized test scores are optional for admission but are required for merit scholarship consideration for first-time incoming students.
