The program aims to educate students in aerospace engineering, equipping them for careers as multidisciplinary engineers in the aerospace sector or other industries requiring ABET-specified competencies for BS-level engineers. Students will be able to identify, formulate, and resolve complex engineering challenges by utilizing engineering, scientific, and mathematical principles. They will apply engineering design to create solutions that address specific needs while accounting for public health, safety, welfare, and global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic considerations. Effective communication with diverse audiences is a key skill they will develop. Students will recognize ethical and professional duties in engineering scenarios and make well-informed decisions that weigh the effects of engineering outcomes on global, economic, environmental, and societal spheres. They will excel in team settings, contributing to leadership, fostering collaborative and inclusive atmospheres, setting objectives, organizing tasks, and achieving goals. Additionally, they will be capable of designing and performing suitable experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and employing engineering judgment to reach conclusions. Lastly, they will possess the ability to gain and implement new knowledge as required, employing effective learning approaches.
Entry requirements may vary from country to country, students are required to hold a Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
