The Master of Science in Cybersecurity program prepares graduates with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on skills to address the growing demand for cybersecurity experts across government and industry, playing a vital role in safeguarding local, national, and global security. Furthermore, the program develops cybersecurity practitioners into future leaders and researchers in computer and information assurance. With its adaptable structure, the curriculum caters to both research-focused students and working professionals through two specialized tracks featuring thesis and project pathways. Upon fulfilling program requirements, graduates will demonstrate the ability to: assess intricate cybersecurity challenges and apply security frameworks to devise solutions; examine and improve systems to ensure continuity amid potential risks; create, deploy, and assess computing solutions tailored to specific security needs; apply cryptographic techniques to secure information systems; implement cutting-edge network and software security measures; uphold professional ethics while making security decisions grounded in legal standards; and engage in pioneering research initiatives and funded academic projects.
Earned a four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or an equivalent degree from a non-U.S. institution, 2) a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale, or 3.0 in the last half of the undergraduate program.
