The School of Education provides advanced degree programs culminating in Master of Education (M.Ed.) and Master of Science (M.S.) qualifications. Students can specialize in diverse fields including: Curriculum and Instruction, Agricultural Education, English Education, Family and Consumer Sciences Education, History Education, Mathematics Education, Music Education, Science Education, Social Science Education, Whole Child Approaches, and Teacher Licensure.
Our Teacher Education graduate program fosters the growth of educational leaders committed to promoting equal opportunities in learning. The curriculum aligns with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) and Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC), emphasizing practical research and educator development. Designed for working professionals, the M.Ed. program incorporates action research projects. We strongly recommend students collaborate with academic advisors to define and reach their educational objectives.
The Agricultural Education graduate program offers both M.Ed. and M.S. degrees, with opportunities for specialization in vocational training, extension services, international programs, and agricultural instruction.
Each student's degree path is customized through collaborative planning. We encourage incorporating supplementary coursework aligned with individual interests. Some classes address challenges specific to different Agricultural Education settings, while others explore universal issues in agricultural and extension education. Students may integrate internships in agribusiness, natural resources education, or related fields into their studies. Close advisor consultation is essential throughout the program.
