The Master of Arts in Teaching with a Secondary Earth Science focus is a 47-credit, full-time program designed to provide initial teaching certification for grades 6-12 in Earth and Space Science. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Earth Science or Geology and aim to obtain Michigan teacher certification. Graduates with the Earth/Space Science (DH) endorsement qualify to teach earth science at middle and high school levels. Students can access academic advising, scholarship opportunities, and engage in activities through both the Geography & Geology Department (College of Arts and Sciences) and the Teacher Education Department (College of Education), where core teaching courses are offered.
