The Bachelor of Music in Music Performance program is designed for instrumentalists pursuing professional music careers. Participants enhance their abilities through focused one-on-one instruction with expert faculty members. They'll acquire practical experience by performing in various ensemble settings and presenting mandatory solo recitals during their junior and senior years. The curriculum includes comprehensive coursework in music theory, history, and core musical concepts. Numerous graduates pursue advanced degrees, with some attaining master's or doctoral qualifications. Ongoing musical education can result in performance opportunities with orchestras, chamber groups, or as soloists. This program also prepares students for teaching positions at universities or private studios, while others may blend musical expertise with other disciplines for multifaceted careers.

Meet the minimum requirement of 2.0 cumulative High School Grade Point Average or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for consideration.
EMU uses a test-optional admissions model for first-year admission.
A student with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.75 or higher will not be required to submit a standardized test score.
A student with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5-2.74 will be considered test-optional. Upon review of application and academic history, standardized test scores may be requested if required.
At student with a cumulative high school of 2.49 and below will be required to submit a test score.
