Our Bachelor of Arts in Dance provides students with an outstanding curriculum focused on dance technique and theory. This 60-credit Dance Major is a complete program that doesn't require additional majors or minors. As a dance student, you'll enhance your technical abilities while studying the historical, theoretical, and scientific aspects of your art. Expect a rigorous schedule of technique and choreography courses, extended rehearsal hours, and academic coursework. This intensive program pushes dance majors physically and intellectually, fostering skills in creative and analytical thinking, communication, research, problem-solving, and interpretation alongside comprehensive practical and theoretical dance training. The BA degree opens doors to professional opportunities as performers, choreographers, dance educators, administrators, and therapists.

EMU uses a test-optional admissions model for first-year admission.
A student with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.75 or higher will not be required to submit a standardized test score.
A student with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5-2.74 will be considered test-optional. Upon review of application and academic history, standardized test scores may be requested if required.
At student with a cumulative high school of 2.49 and below will be required to submit a test score.
