The Department of Exercise Science provides two distinct bachelor's degree options: a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with specializations in Exercise Science and K-12 Teacher Education, along with a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Recreation Management featuring focuses in Sport Management and Park and Recreation Management.
The Exercise Science specialization takes an interdisciplinary approach to physical activity, health, and wellbeing. This program primarily focuses on how exercise impacts different bodily systems. Complementary coursework in psychology, health education, and human sciences builds understanding of mental health factors and behavioral patterns, typically centered on sustaining healthy lifestyles and preventing health risks.
