This dual-degree program, provided by Duquesne University's Kline School of Law and McAnulty Graduate School of Liberal Arts, enables you to combine intensive philosophy studies with your legal education. Philosophy is often considered one of the most advantageous undergraduate majors for prospective lawyers, as it cultivates critical thinking skills, logical reasoning, precise communication, and the ethical judgment essential for legal practice. Those with philosophical training typically achieve higher-than-average LSAT scores and demonstrate superior academic performance. Applicants can start their studies in either the law school or liberal arts graduate program. The program imposes a 15-credit maximum per term for all participants, except during the initial year of law studies when enrollment in graduate philosophy courses is prohibited.
