Our Early Childhood Education program aligns with Pennsylvania's state standards as well as guidelines from national professional organizations. Beyond our School of Education's CAEP accreditation, our Leading Teacher Program holds the prestigious distinction of NAEYC accreditation. The 131-credit Bachelor of Science in Education for Early Childhood (PreK-4) comprises three key components: University Core/General Education, Foundations of Education, and Professional Preparation. In your initial two years, you'll complete most General Education and Foundation coursework while gaining hands-on field experience beginning freshman year. Faculty guide students in applying professional standards across early childhood curriculum areas through coursework and practical field experiences.
