The Cellular Neuroscience, Neurodevelopment and Neurodegeneration Group aims to revolutionize cellular neuroscience through groundbreaking approaches that transform fundamental research and redefine treatment paradigms for neurological diseases. Instead of conventional methods, we prioritize creative thinking, innovation, and pioneering new research directions.
Our work spans multiple disciplines with specialized emphasis on cellular neuroscience, neurodevelopment, and neurodegeneration. Additional research explores signaling mechanisms, genetic factors, and epigenetic influences. We utilize diverse model systems, including human induced pluripotent stem cells, mouse models of neurological conditions, and primary rodent cell cultures.
While maintaining our foundation in core scientific principles, we're increasingly focusing on neurodevelopmental conditions and neurodegenerative disorders.
By integrating fundamental mechanistic research with disease-focused studies, we generate unprecedented discoveries that fuel the development of innovative therapeutic approaches.

Official transcripts must be sent directly to Drexel from all of the colleges and universities that you have attended Please note that transcripts are required regardless of number of credits taken or if the credits were transferred to another school An admission decision may be delayed if you do not send transcripts from all colleges and universities that you have attended
Transcripts must show coursebycourse grades and degree conferrals If your school does not notate degree conferrals on the official transcripts you must provide copies of any graduate or degree certificates
International applicants are required to demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL the International English Language Testing System IELTS or the Pearson Test of English PTE unless they meet the criteria for a waiver
