A graduate student specializing in Cancer Biology conducting research in Drexel University College of Medicine's laboratory.
MASTER OF SCIENCE IN CANCER BIOLOGY
Ranking as the second most common cause of mortality in the U.S., cancer takes approximately 575,000 lives annually. These fatalities stem from more than 200 cancer varieties, many of which scientists still don't fully comprehend. However, ongoing research is steadily closing this knowledge gap.
Remarkable progress continues in cancer treatment approaches, and Drexel University College of Medicine plays a vital role in this progress by training the next generation of researchers through its Cancer Biology (CBIO) program.
This program stands out nationally for its distinctive structure, enabling students to collaborate with 35 leading cancer experts across Philadelphia. These include researchers from prestigious institutions such as Drexel University, The Wistar Institute, Fox Chase Cancer Center, and Lankenau Institute for Medical Research.
