Drexel University College of Medicine provides a combined five-year MD/MPH program in collaboration with the Drexel Dornsife School of Public Health. This dual-degree initiative trains future physicians with a public health perspective. Grounded in principles of health and human rights, the curriculum delivers comprehensive interdisciplinary education spanning clinical medicine and population health disciplines such as community health, preventive medicine, healthcare administration, epidemiology, biostatistics, and environmental health.

Typically, MD/MPH candidates undertake their public health studies during the year between their third and fourth years of medical education. Participants select a specialization from available MPH concentrations and fulfill its specific requirements. Each student also develops an original research project that bridges their public health focus with clinical practice interests.
