Drexel Dornsife's Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) is a comprehensive undergraduate program that equips students to emerge as forward-thinking public health professionals through a combination of academic instruction and hands-on practice in essential public health fields.
The BS in Public Health curriculum offers students fundamental knowledge in scientific principles and public health applications aimed at enhancing community health nationwide. The program includes coursework spanning key public health areas such as epidemiology, community health promotion, environmental and occupational health sciences, and healthcare administration and policy.
Throughout their studies, students develop specialized expertise in their selected public health concentration via advanced classes, cooperative education opportunities, and a culminating senior research project.
The program prepares graduates with practical competencies for meaningful careers in public health. "Public health students acquire tangible methods to enhance quality of life and tackle systemic social disparities," noted Sarah Wetzel, a 2023 public health graduate who represented Drexel at a global climate summit.
