The Department offers some of Cal State East Bay's most rapidly expanding degree programs. Public Health and Health Sciences majors are passionate about enhancing community well-being across California. These students are training for diverse careers including public health administration, healthcare policy, legal professions, health education, program development and assessment, community wellness, mental health services, workplace safety, and beyond.

Our programs examine population health through lenses of health equity and social justice, while investigating how changing physical, social, and political landscapes impact wellbeing.
